Hosepipe ban in the south west covers routine washing of vessels

South West Water's temporary use ban, in force from 8 August, prohibits routine hosing of private leisure vessels.

Falmouth Harbour advised harbour users that water for essential boating operations remains permitted. The notice does not say when the ban will be lifted, and the position is confirmed with the berth before a yacht's arrival.
