Dartmouth fuel barge supplies six vessels in a week

The barge Dart Crusader delivered nearly 100,000 litres of marine gas oil to six vessels, superyachts among them, in a single week in August.

Yeowards Marine Fuels supplies SOLAS-compliant marine gas oil from the barge, which holds 90 cubic metres and stays moored in the port. Transfers are made ship to ship at the mid-river buoys or alongside.

Dart Harbour states that the port can take vessels of up to 200 metres at short notice. The superyachts supplied were not named.
