Managing Director. A yacht systems engineer with over 100,000 nautical miles at sea, Jack has served as chief engineer on racing programmes and large motor yacht projects, and as chief build engineer on the restoration of a classic racing yacht. He writes for the trade press on new build security and regulation, most recently The unsecured owner in The Superyacht Report, issue 230.

Director. Daniel spent seven years as senior chief engineer on a large sailing yacht, leading refits in northern European shipyards. He holds an FdSc in Yacht Science and Marine Sciences and lectures at Falmouth Marine School, where he helped develop the Professional Superyacht Engineer programme with the University of Plymouth. He is a qualified captain and build engineer, and has delivered yachts across the Atlantic.

Foreland Marine represents owners on new builds and refits, manages yachts, and provides technical consultancy for sailing and motor yachts from 24 to over 60 metres. It holds no yard affiliation and takes no commission from any supplier. The engineers, surveys and yard supervision on the technical page are Foreland’s own.

Watermans is the trading name of Foreland Marine Consultancy Ltd, registered in England under number 15785851, with its registered office at 7 Bell Yard, London WC2A 2JR. VAT is charged at 20 per cent on fees.

The company is a member of British Marine and an associate member of Superyacht UK through British Marine. It will apply to the Association of Yacht Support Services when the application window opens in March 2027.
